My beloved saucier

This is a love letter to my favorite pan, the 3 quart stainless steel saucier. Just under a month old, she’s already climbed the ranks, eclipsing the cast iron skillet and the ol’ enameled dutch oven along the way.

The saucier is a sauce pan but better in all ways. Unlike her cousin, she’s got a curved interior free of 90 degree angles. Her generous lip along the rim making pouring a breeze. She’s a versatile workhorse, fantastic for everything including eggs, sauces, stews, currys, and veggies. Searing meat I’m sure too, but I’m vegetarian. This morning it was chinese steamed eggs. The 3 quart size is close to perfect for two people. To cap it off, she’s a breeze to clean.

My 3 quart saucier was expensive at $170 but a BIFL purchase. I got my from Made In but I’m sure there are other quality brands.
